These terms govern your participation in events hosted by The Courtyard Project ("TCP") at Kalpana, Block K, New Alipore, Kolkata, and through our website at thecourtyardproject.com. By registering for an event or using our website, you agree to these terms.

Event registration and tickets

• Registration is confirmed only after full payment has been received (or, for free events, after you receive a confirmation from TCP via WhatsApp or email).
• Each ticket is personal and non-transferable unless approved by TCP in writing.
• TCP reserves the right to limit the number of tickets per person or group at its discretion.
• Event details — including time, format, or performers — may occasionally change. We will notify registered guests as soon as possible if any significant changes occur.

Cancellations and refunds

However, we understand that life happens. If you are unable to attend, please let us know at least 48 hours before the event by WhatsApp or email. At our discretion, we may offer a credit toward a future TCP event.

If TCP cancels or significantly reschedules an event, registered guests will receive a full refund or credit toward a future event, at their choice.

Code of conduct

TCP events happen in a private home and are built on warmth, safety, and mutual respect. We ask all guests to:

• Treat the space, the host family, fellow guests, and performers with care and respect
• Avoid behaviour that could make others feel unsafe or unwelcome
• Follow any instructions given by TCP hosts or staff during the event
• Respect the residential nature of the venue — keep noise levels appropriate when leaving
• Not bring alcohol or substances to the venue unless explicitly communicated as part of the event

TCP reserves the right to ask anyone to leave an event if their behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to others — without refund.

Photography and content

TCP documents its events through photography and video for use on our website, social media, and press. By attending a TCP event, you consent to appearing in such content in a general group setting.

Guests may photograph and share content from events for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use of images taken at TCP events requires written permission from TCP.

TCP's brand, logo, name, and event concepts are the intellectual property of The Courtyard Project. Reproduction or commercial use without written permission is not permitted.

Liability

TCP takes care to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. However, your attendance at TCP events is at your own risk. TCP is not liable for loss, theft, injury, or damage to personal property during or after events, except where caused by our direct negligence.

Guests with specific medical or accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us before attending so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Collaborations and partnerships

Any collaboration with TCP is subject to a separate written agreement. Approaching TCP about a partnership does not constitute a binding agreement. TCP reserves the right to decline any collaboration at its discretion without giving reasons.

Website use

Our website is provided in good faith and for informational purposes. While we aim to keep information current and accurate, event details may change. Always confirm event details directly with TCP before making travel or other arrangements.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Changes to these terms

TCP may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or attendance at our events after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
